Everyone deserves privacy. PrivXion helps Chrome users protect their browsing sessions and step away with confidence. Designed exclusively for Google Chrome.
I wanted to step away without leaving my browser open. Chrome had no simple session lock, so I built PrivXion for everyone who shares that need.
PromeXion LabsBUILT BY
Every day, we carry our lives into the digital world. Our conversations, our work, our ideas, and our dreams take shape on the screens before us. They deserve a space where we can feel at ease.
PrivXion was created for those everyday moments when you need to step away. It helps you lock supported browser tabs with a local passcode, giving you more control over your privacy while you’re away.
But PrivXion begins with a purpose that reaches beyond a single product.
At PromeXion Labs, we believe useful technology can start with a small idea and grow into something that makes life better for more people. PrivXion is our first step: a practical tool built around privacy, care, and the freedom to focus on what matters.
As we grow, we hope to build more thoughtful tools and dedicate a portion of our progress to humanitarian causes. We’ll share those plans and their progress as they take shape.
Because every person deserves the chance to create, connect, and move forward with confidence. This is our spark. And with you, it can become something greater.
PrivXion. Crafted for quiet protection. Built with a wider purpose.

Three sample tabs. One moment of privacy.
PrivXion is built to handle your session on your device. Here’s what that means in practice.
Your passcode isn’t stored in plaintext.
A salted PBKDF2 verifier is used for local passcode checks.
Your session data stays on your device.
Tab destinations are handled locally to lock and restore your browsing session.
No extension account, ads, or telemetry service.
The extension does not use an account, subscription, advertising, or telemetry service; website accounts are separate.
Website content isn’t sent to PrivXion servers.
The current build does not transmit your browsing history, cookies, page content, or passcodes to PrivXion servers.
PrivXion uses these permissions to lock supported web tabs, apply your chosen safeguards, and restore your session. They are the permissions requested by the current extension build:
Session-restoration data is encrypted, but its encryption key is stored in the same Chrome profile. This helps protect the stored data, but not from someone with direct access to your profile. PrivXion also cannot prevent a device owner from disabling the extension.

After your passcode or recovery key is accepted, PrivXion restores supported tabs to their saved destinations. Replacing pages can discard unsaved page state, so save your work before locking when needed.
No. PrivXion helps deter casual access to supported tabs while you step away. It does not encrypt website sessions, secure your operating-system account, or prevent the browser owner from disabling or removing the extension.
